Our client, GMI, is a rapidly growing investment business with an in-house "total portfolio" investment approach. They are Managers of the Kiwi Wealth KiwiSaver scheme, Superannuation and Private Portfolios with $3.4 billion in funds under management.
This exciting and newly created role is part of their ongoing growth strategy and is charged with proactively adding credit ideas and analysis for the Fixed Income portfolio. Working closely with the Portfolio Manager, you will be analysing and researching global credit securities for inclusion within the portfolio, currently a broadly diversified selection which is set to grow.
We are seeking an experienced professional who has had previous experience in a similar role, and a demonstrable track record in fundamental and quantitative analysis across at least 2 major GICS sectors. This is a dynamic, creative and successful team and as such you will be required to be able to articulate concepts and ideas with flair and intellectual rigour. We are seeking an individual with drive, who is able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a sense of collegiality and professional standards.

Your attributes will include:

• Min of 5 years’ global credit research (buy or sell side research)
• Strong fundamental bottoms-up analysis
• Previous exposure to portfolio construction and general risk management
• Strong analytical skills with a natural penchant for numbers and data.
Experience with Excel, CapIQ, Bloomberg
• The professionalism and confidence to represent the organisation
publically and engage with the senior management team.
• Tertiary qualified with formal credit training and high yield bond
analysis an advantage
• Team orientated player who is happy to multi-task in a fast pace
environment
